Noma Intel™ FAQs.

A practical overview of Noma Intel’s approach to privacy-safe, first-party media intelligence.

What is Noma Intel?

Noma Intel is Meerkat Media’s media intelligence platform. It connects privacy-safe, first-party website behaviour with media activity, giving brands a clear view of how marketing is influencing engagement, intent and on-site outcomes.

What are its benefits?

Noma Intel helps marketers move beyond isolated channel reporting to better understand the relationship between media activity and profitable audience engagement. The platform helps identify the channels, audiences and campaigns that are contributing stronger on-site engagement. The result is clearer, evidence-led decisions about media investment and audience targeting. Noma Intel uses proprietary AI to identify meaningful patterns, support smarter planning and budget allocation, and provide a more connected view of marketing performance alongside your existing analytics and attribution tools.

Are there any client requirements to benefit from Noma Intel insights?

Unlike third-party analytics tools, Noma Intel’s performance and predictive abilities increase as more data reveals meaningful patterns. The window required for reliable pattern-intelligence insights is generally between 30–60 days, where there is active media spend.

Does Noma Intel replace my existing analytics tools?

No. Noma Intel works alongside your existing analytics, attribution and reporting tools. It adds a first-party view of engagement quality, audience intent, longer-term website behaviour and increasing AI-driven consumer purchases. The platform provides an unbiased view of your actual website audiences, helping make existing reporting more useful for future optimisation and planning.

What data does it collect?

Noma Intel collects non-personal actions from your website interactions and is fully compliant with Australian privacy legislation. Data is securely stored within Australian data-storage environments. This can include page views, content and product interactions, form starts and submissions, session activity, referring source, campaign and UTM parameters, landing pages, device and browser type, city-level location, and conversion events. Noma Intel does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, full IP addresses or other directly identifying information.

How is the data collected?

A lightweight Noma Intel SmartTag is added to your website, along with a single CNAME DNS record. This creates a secure first-party measurement connection that can be interrogated as required. The setup is straightforward and generally takes 24 hours to start presenting data. By comparison, enterprise systems such as Adobe and Salesforce may take up to three months to onboard.

What is the data used for?

Noma Intel uses the agreed data to measure engagement, identify high-intent audiences, improve campaign optimisation and inform future media investment. Rather than using third-party data curated from media platforms, the insights are based directly on real-time interactions with your digital assets. This helps your teams understand campaign performance more clearly, identify opportunities to improve media effectiveness, optimise website structure and inform future investment decisions.

Do you collect personal information or PII?

No. Noma Intel is designed to collect non-personal behavioural data only. It does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, full IP addresses or other directly identifying information.

Who owns the data and what happens if the service finishes?

You own your data. If our service ends, data collection stops and your data is managed, transferred or deleted in line with privacy-compliant data-handling requirements.

Where is measurement data stored?

Measurement data is stored in Australia. Security controls, data residency and any approved service providers are transparent and documented. Data can also be securely exported to your internal reporting or business-intelligence environment.

How are non-clickable campaigns measured?

Connected TV and Digital Out of Home are powerful media tools that are under-represented by Australian advertisers. Non-clickable campaigns such as Connected TV or Digital Out of Home are measured using exposure-based methodologies. Noma Intel compares the behaviour of exposed versus non-exposed users to understand both engagement and conversion uplift. We encourage our clients to take advantage of the significant performance impact of non-clickable media. Noma Intel is custom-configured for each client to track performance outcomes across all media channels.

How does Noma Intel work in cookie-restricted environments?

Noma Intel’s technology is based on first-party data and does not use cookies. The significant advantage is gaining insight into up to 40% of market interactions and devices that do not support cookies. Noma Intel also measures performance where ad blockers and third-party cookies limit traditional tracking — including Safari, Australia’s leading mobile browser. The result is true behavioural and performance tracking over extended periods.
